My Hero Academia Season 4 — Episode 13: Recap and Review — Otaku Orbit
Ryukyu’s team and the police restrain Rikiya Katsukame. However, he has taken a Quirk boosting drug, allowing him to inhale the life force of Froppy and Uravity. He breaks free and attacks. Ryukyu is forced to transform into her dragon form. During the confrontation, Deku arrives to inform the group that “the enemy is beneath them.” Nejire blasts everyone into the ground, breaking into the underground tomb. In reality, Himiko transformed herself into Deku to lead the group to Overhaul. Twice uses his Quirk to create double of Compress to help dig them out. They also want him to capture Eri for them. However, the Compress double is destroyed by Ryukyu.
With Nighteye missing his arm and still in critical condition. Deku attacks Overhaul, hoping to save Eri. Noticing the cape of Mirio, Eri decides that she should let the heroes save her. She activates her Quirk, Rewind. A mutated Quirk that resulted in her “killing” her father. He mother abandoned her, leaving her with her grandfather. Overhaul was asked to learn about her powers. He decides the best way to do this is to torture her, by cutting her over and over. When she “rewinds” she reverts Overhaul back to his normal state. He heals himself and absorbs Rikiya. Paired with Eri, Deku is now invincible, as Eri’s Quirk rewinds his injuries.
She’s unable to control he powers yet, forcing Deku to calculate the rate of healing. With Eri’s Quirk, Deku can use One For All 100% infinitely. Overhaul appears in his new monstrous form. However, he’s now match for the new duo. Deku asks “how he can call himself a hero if can’t save one small girl right in front of him.” He unleashes a barrage of punches, followed by a smash at 100%. Victorious, Deku surprises Nighteye that realizes that Deku has “twisted fate.” With Eri’s ability to rewind, I think Mirio’s Quirk can be restored. It’s really a game changer. I wonder if there’s some limit on the power. There must be other wise she can bring everyone back from the dead. I guessing that she can only rewind so far in time. Anyway, Deku once again proved why he going to be a top hero. Furthermore, My Hero Academia provides us with another epic battle.
